If, like us you have lots of data in your mysql database and need to make a find/replace change (like in excel) you can!

So, for example, let’s say you have a table called “mytable” with data stored in a field called “mycontent” and you want to replace all instances of the word “one” with “two”, then your SQL would look like this:

Custom 404 using .htaccess

Creating a custom 404 (file not found) page is a must. The standard 404 page served by Apache is uninformative and not of any use the to person browsing your site.

To create a custom 404 document using the magic of .htaccess you need to do two things..

1. Create a file in the root of your site called 404.php (or .html etc)
2. Tell the server where this document is by adding the following line of code to your .htaccess

Your server should now show the custom 404 file.
